Simmons Sets $85 Million Goal for Largest Campaign Ever

New Initiative Will Boost Financial Aid, Enhance Academics

Making Education Work(November 1, 2009) -- The Simmons Board of Trustees has announced a record $85 million goal for the College's Making Education Work campaign. Scheduled to continue through 2014, the initiative will further strengthen the College's impressive academic programs and make them more affordable for students. It's the largest campaign in Simmons's history.

(November 1, 2009) -- I am very excited to announce that Simmons is embarking on its largest campaign in the history of the College. The Board of Trustees voted in October to endorse a goal of $85 million for the Making Education Work campaign, which will run until June 2014.

Alumni Volunteers Welcomed Back for Leadership Weekend
(October 30, 2009) -- Almost 150 alumni, family, and friends returned to campus for Leadership Weekend October 23 and 24. The theme of the weekend was recognition and enrichment. Attendees were thanked, and some received special acknowledgment for their commitment to the college during Friday evening's dinner. Saturday's program featured updates about the College and volunteer information sessions.

(October 30, 2009) -- Attorney General Martha Coakley announced recently that Barbara Lee '67, '01HD, president of the Barbara Lee Family Foundation, will co-chair Coakley's U.S. Senate campaign.

SOM Named One of the Top 20 Socially Responsible MBA Programs in the World
(October 21, 2009) -- The Simmons School of Management has been ranked No. 15 in the "Global 100" list of business schools by the Aspen Institute in its 2010-2011 MBA ranking, "Beyond Grey Pinstripes." Simmons is the only school in Massachusetts to make the top 20 list.
