As School of Management alumnae/i you are invited to partner with the Career Services Office (CSO) throughout your career. Whether you live locally or on the other side of the world, we can assist those of you who are:
- Considering a career transition
- Interested in hiring SOM candidates for jobs or internships in your organization
- Interested in staying involved with the SOM community through sharing your expertise with SOM students and graduates
MISSION AND GOALS
Build partnerships with students, alumnae/i, employers and the SOM community to enhance and facilitate career success. Be a prime source to employers as they hire new and more seasoned SOM professionals, and ensure students and alumnae/i are prepared to conduct effective job searches and career transitions successfully.

Career LeadsMonthly program facilitated by Peg Kelley (SOM '88) where attendees get leads for specific jobs and for productive networking. Group meets every third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Please see Alumnet events calendar for dates and details.

Weekly Career Advising Sessions Every other Thursday, January 24 - April 18, 2013 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at Simmons SOM, Room M-332. No appointment necessary.

Career Health Program: Women In TransitionA 6-session program offered by the Simmons Career Education Center (CEC) for Simmons alumnae who are considering a career change, re-entering the job market, exploring new directions in second adulthood, or at a crossroads in their life.

Annual SOM Career Expo This annual event will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Simmons College in the Linda K. Paresky Conference Center from 1:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Terry works across all industries and functions. She has extensive prior experience in the corporate arena (HR Strategy, OD and Learning Systems), Consulting and Higher Education. Her area of specialty is mid-career women in transition. Her private office is located at Cummings Center in Beverly, MA but she also works with clients over the phone.

With over 25 years of experience in all areas of career planning, decision making and coaching, she works with her clients to quickly and effectively plan for and reach their goals. Her office is located in Wellesley, MA.
HIRE AN SOM STUDENT OR GRADUATE For alumnae/i interested in hiring highly qualified and diverse SOM candidates, please contact us to list appropriate job postings on Career Connect. This is accessible to all students and alumnae/i to see. In addition, we offer on-site interview and career event days, as well as electronic resume books.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES One of the joys of continuing to be a part of the SOM community is to help pave the way for new graduates. There are so many ways to give back that have a significant impact:
- Participate as a mock interviewer.
- Share your knowledge at networking events, student clubs, and guest speaker series. Hearing from successful alumnae/i is a powerful way to help our students learn through your experience and it is a positive networking experience for everyone involved.
- Mentor students who are interested in your industry or function. This can be done through participating in the SOM Mentoring Program, student activities, conducting informational interviews, helping students to network, and critiquing students' resumes.
- Accept an invitation to facilitate or speak at a future CSO workshop or special presentation.
