Simmons Co-hosts Women in Public Service Project Institute
(August 20, 2014) -- From May 25-June 6, 2014, Simmons co-hosted the 2014 Women in Public Service Project Institute, bringing together a group of 50 women from more than 20 nations ravaged by war, political violence, and human rights violations.

Simmons Announces First Online Undergraduate Degree Program
(May 1, 2014) -- Simmons announced the launch of a new, online Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (RN to BSN). This is the school's first online undergraduate degree program. In addition, Simmons announced a new online Master of Science in Nursing program (RN to MSN).

Professor Mary Shapiro Named Inaugural Diane Kagen Trust Professor
(August 20, 2014) -- Last year, one of the generous gifts to the Making Education Work Campaign came from the Trust Family to endow the Diane Kagen Trust '77GS Professorship for Leadership Development. This Professorship will enable us to highlight the outstanding work we already do on leadership in all five schools at Simmons and to develop a leadership platform within the core experience we are designing for our undergraduates.
Conversation on Philanthropy: Dolores Amidon D'Angelo '69, '72GS
(April 2014) -- Dr. Dolores Amidon D'Angelo '69, '72GS, an honorary Simmons trustee, has devoted her career to education as a teacher and administrator. She has been actively engaged with the College as a volunteer leader and philanthropist. Her gifts include two scholarships for students in the Honors Program: the Dolores and Lawrence D'Angelo Endowed Scholarship for education majors, and the Dolores Amidon D'Angelo Honors Scholarship Fund for study abroad.

(March 31, 2014) -- Associate members of the 1899 Leadership Society are recent alumnae who join the leadership giving society at graduated giving levels.
$2.1 Million Bequest from Mara Dole '61LS is Largest in College's History
(March 31, 2014) -- The late Mara Dole '61LS, a former cataloger at the Harvard Law School Library, generously gave $2.1 million through a bequest which has been used to establish new funds to further enhance innovation and technology at the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
