Simmons Participates in First Ever #GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday(November 30, 2012) -- On November 27, the Simmons community provided an outstanding level of support for a wonderful new philanthropic tradition, "#GivingTuesday." This initiative was founded by New York's 92nd Street Y as an antidote to the holiday season spending spree. Simmons's participation in the movement included 231 donors who raised more than $46,000 for the College in just a few days. Alumnae/i, students, faculty, and staff all contributed to this great effort. Trustee Christian Pope-Campbell '91, chair of the Annual Fund, helped lead this effort with the Advancement team.
