African American Alumnae Association Vice President to Receive Award

(February 4, 2009) -- The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) has named Leslie Morris '75 as a recipient of the NACHC 2009 Betsey K. Cooke Advocacy MVP Award. Morris was named for her hard work and dedication to building health center advocacy power and furthering the health center policy agenda in Congress last year.

The awards presentation will take place during the Congressional Awards Reception in Washington D.C. on Thursday evening March 26. Morris will be presented her award during the same program as some of the Congressional Champions.

Morris is the vice president of the Simmons College African American Alumnae Association.
